A Party & A Riddle

OK girls.
I need some help.
Not mental help!
Well, ok...
mental help!!

We were invited to a Murder Mystery party this weekend.
I.
CAN'T.
WAIT!
Bill has decided he is not going.
WEINER!!

I am totally into it :}
It is set in the 1920's and I have a costume and everything!!
Anyway, I had a riddle sent to me that I can't figure out.
Duh right?!

I'm hoping that my blog buds can help me.

Here it is....

A man wanted to enter an exclusive club but did not know the password that was required. He waited by the door and listened. A club member knocked on the door and the doorman said, "twelve." The member replied, "six " and was let in. A second member came to the door and the doorman said, "six." The member replied, "three" and was let in. The man thought he had heard enough and walked up to the door. The doorman said, "ten" and the man replied, "five." But he was not let in. He should have replied, "three".

I can't figure it out!
Here is the scoop on my role for the weekend...
My name is Donna Wannabee and I wanna be a big movie Hollywood actress.
I picked up some major bling today and a new pair of black heels ($20 total!)
I'm still looking for a pair of long black gloves because that would finish off the costume perfectly!
May have to go to a bridal store for those.
Can't find them anywhere :{

I certainly hope I don't get killed at the party.
That would be a bummer!

If you have figured out the riddle, let me know!
I just don't get it....

Just kickin' my feet up

I am SO glad this Monday is almost over.
The morning came WAY too early!
After another weekend of volleyball, my work at home was way behind.
Add that to all the extra hours at work and you get a glimpse of what my day today would be like.

I had to get into work today because of all the Valentine's day customers.
We are always hit hard in the cake department.
This year was no exception.
My boss told me that in the first 14 days of February, our store sold 122 cakes.
That is a record for us AND we out sold the Bloomington store!
I was very proud :}
Then I had to get to work!

About this time each year, I start putting extra cakes in the rear freezer to keep from running out of any cake.  Today was the day to get started with that job.
At any one time, we try to have a total of 8 of each cake on hand.
4 small and 4 large.
This will usually get us through a week.
This also keeps me from having to work weekends.
I worked on building cakes, making ice cream sandwiches and cupcakes.
I completely ran out of cupcake and cookie supplies so I focused on cakes.

I bugged out about 3 and headed home to get to work on cleaing the house.
This morning I woke up to gum wrappers on the family room floor and a (single) Cheerio on the island.
For some reason, this infuriated me.
REALLY?!
Could you not see the cereal left on the island or the gum wrappers on the floor?!

I decided that I was going to leave it and see what happened.
The girls got home and I asked who had Cheerios for breakfast.
Abby did!
She said she knew she dropped a Cheerio but couldn't find it because there were other things on the island when she was pouring her cereal.
OK then.

Shortly, Bill came home.
He started laughing when he saw the wrappers.
They were his!
I knew they were his.
He picked them up and threw them away.

I guess I will have to finish cleaning the house now that the culprits have righted their wrongs :}

I did get the upstairs bathrooms done and our bedroom cleaned.
The girls are on their own this week!
Tomorrow I go to see my doctor then head back into work and then back home to finish cleaning.
The washer and dryer have been going like crazy.
The girls have zero towels left.
I  don't know how that happened because we just did laundry on Friday....
Oh well!

So tonight brings me right here.
Curled up on the loveseat watching the Olympics and updating my blog.
Seems like a boring life to me but I love it!

Hugs all!
