My body is screaming at me tonight!
I think it is saying.....
You wanna do what?
You still need to do what?
Is there is a reason that you felt you needed to do.....
You know I'm not going to let you forget............do you?
I am almost done spring cleaning.
My kitchen is staring at me.
Waiting......
It will get the spit and shine tomorrow.
OK, not really the "spit" because that would be gross and no one would EVER want to eat at my house. The shine will be there.
Every window in my house is sparkling. I told my DH that when he goes outside tomorrow he will need to put on his sunglasses because the glare from the clean windows will be blinding. His question. Did you wash them on the outside too?
Well, let me see....
YES!
Husbands.
Sometimes I think he lives in a different world!
So, I told the girls that we are going to split up the kitchen cleaning. I have 12 drawers and 34 doors and 2 lazy susans. That means that we each "get to" clean 4 drawers and 11 doors. Which ever one of us "gets to" clean out the pantry will not have to tackle the lazy susans.
I don't know what we were thinking when we built our house! I just had to have a large kitchen!
OK, on to something a bit more sedate.
I found out today that my BIL on my DH's side will be without a job come June. They moved back to our area about 3 years ago so he hasn't had this job very long. He works from home in the aeronautics sector. I am sure he will be looking very hard to find something in the area but my SIL may have to go to work as well. She is a teacher so she should be able to get a job in the district that they live.
My DH got the news yesterday that his section at work will have to take 3 weeks of unpaid time between now and the end of August. This kind of makes me mad as his section is actually profitable. They are not allowed to take vacation time (which he gets 6 weeks of). He says this is to keep from laying more people off. I understand this and am more than willing to take the hit except that in February they actually made 1 million dollars more that they projected. I don't know what they projected but seriously do they have to continue to cut? Sometimes I wonder if they are doing it just because they can and they blame it on the recession. I know I should be happy that he has a job and that it is pretty stable. For that, I am thankful - just makes me wonder how far it will go.
Well, I need to get into my jammies and snuggle up with one of my girls.
Enjoy all the b-ball on tv this weekend!

Spring cleaning
Exhaustion has set in tonight.
It is late.
I'm still up.
My eyes are heavy.
I have been working on my spring cleaning.
It would be easier to move!
I started on Monday and I am almost done with the second floor. I'll finished it tomorrow by cleaning the carpet on the stairs and hallway.
I kinda do a "Trading Spaces" kinda cleaning. Pull everything out of the room, wipe down baseboards, washing all bedding, wash window coverings, wash windows, clean out closets, clean out dressers, etc. So far this week, I have cleaned 4 bedrooms, two bathrooms and 6 closets. My washer and dryer have been going nonstop since Monday and is still going tonight.
Bed will feel good tonight!
Tomorrow brings cleaning the office and 1/2 bath on the main floor. Friday will be the family room and possibly the sunroom (although it has ALOT of windows so that room may wait until Sunday). I'll probably finish on Monday with the kitchen. I have offered the girls some cold hard cash if they would help me with the kitchen. It is big and takes FOREVER to spring clean.
At this point, I would offer anyone cash if they wanna finish the job. I have forgotten how hard it is to spring clean and work at the same time. So, I have been cleaning carpet and then working for the day so the carpet can dry, come home and put everything back together sometime between dinner and bed.
Speaking of bed, I need to hit mine.
Hugs all!

A family broken
Friends, please be in prayer for a dear family.
You see, our neighbor, Brian, went home to be with Jesus early this morning.
I have asked for your prayers regarding this family in need of prayer and healing before. Angie, his wife, will be without her soulmate. She is hurting and lonely. Would you please join me in praying for Ang and their two you boys, Gavin & Grant? They will be confused and I pray they will not become bitter against God.
Would you please go over to Angie's blog and leave her a note of encouragement and prayer? She would covet these right now.
Hugs,
Jeanette

18 years old
My first car!1980 Ford Pinto.
Yep, the same one that exploded on inpact!
So hard to believe that I have grown up so much since then!
Now, on to my birthday celebration!
I brought this pie home from work.
It is called - There is Chocolate in My Peanut Butter Pie.
It was yummy and there is still a few slices left that we will get to munch on for awhile!
So, what did I get for my birthday? My fabulous sister, Julie, sent me some flowers that are still openning up - they are gorgeous and make me smile!
I got some $$ from my MIL and parents that I will be spending on new spring clothes.
My DH decided to buy me some additional bling.
Keep in mind that I don't own alot of expensive jewelry so this is a treat!
It is an addition to my three stone ring that he got me 3 years ago this past Christmas.
It is really pretty and I love it!Abby was sick through Friday but is doing much better.
The girls don't have school on Monday or Tuesday because of teacher institute so they are scheduled for an immunization shot, shopping with me, a movie with a friend and they each have practice. Gabby for softball and Abby for track.
I need to close for tonight.
I'm tired from the ice skating we did this afternoon.
I haven't skated since before the girls were born but I did really good.
The girls laughed and laughed at me but I did not fall even once (although I must say a huge THANK YOU to Tony & Christine as they saved me from what would have been my only fall).
My feet are still a bit sore and I'm sure I'll feel it in the morning :}
Looking forward to some beautiful weather at least the first few days of this week.
I am thankful that there is not any rain coming our way as the flooding in our area is huge! It was bad this past fall but it is even worse right now.
I feel bad for the people being affected as some businesses are closed as well.
I have to say I am thankful that we are nowhere close to a flood plain!
Hugs to all and good night!!!
